1- When you create a node indide EVE-NG, you assign its interfaces private IP addresses.
#Eve ng documentation install
In case you have hardware just for EVE-NG, you can download the ISO file and install it. We need a workaround to Connect nodes inside EVE-NG with the Internet. If you are new to eve-ng, I recommend you to download EVE-NG OVF and go through eve-ng initial configuration on VMWare. Click the arrow next to that file and choose "Always open files of this type". EVE-NG community edition doesn’t support NAT Cloud. Using SSH or the console, log in as root to your Eve-NG server and download the latest LTS version of the Ubuntu Server. I’ve only added a few steps I’ve found useful for working with FRR. I followed the usual guide on EVE-NG to setup vMX version 18. Later versions of vMX like 16.x and above the RE and FPC is separate, so can do dual RE topology and test GRES/NSR. To make RDP file open on your browser, instead of downloading, you have to download the file type once, then right after that download, look at the status bar at the bottom of the browser. The process I’m going to use is well documented in the Eve-NG Linux How-To documentation. The problem I found was the vMX versions below 15.x is one RE and one FPC, so can’t do dual RE setup on EVE-NG. Chrome/Chromium downloads RDP files instead of opening.
